Maritta (Loucks) Honaker-Williams, age 90, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully, at GreenFields Continuing Care, Monday, July 29, 2024. Maritta was born in Sharon Center, PA on June 6, 1934, the daughter of Archie and Sadie Bell Loucks.
Maritta was always putting others above her own needs. Being the youngest of her siblings in her family she dropped out of 7th grade to take care of her bed-ridden mother at home in poor health. Maritta is predeceased by her former husbands Joseph Williams and Harold Honaker. She was the proud mother of Phyllis (late Lester) Moore, Terry (Robin) Hubel, Maritta (late James) Komula, James (Cheryl) Honaker and the late Harold Honaker Jr. Maritta was the beloved grandmother of 12 grandchildren, great- grandmother of 22 and a great-great-grandmother of one. One of her greatest joys was being present when her children needed her.
Maritta was an active member of the New Apostolic Church, singing in the choir always supporting the Lord’s work in any way she could. She often hosted many, many dinners in her home for fellow members and their children.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the New Apostolic Church, 1049 Losson Road, Buffalo, NY 14227, on Saturday, August 3rd at 2:00 PM with visiting before at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Apostolic Church.
